Things to do in Claremont

Link Contemporary Art is located in the historic Claremont Village Packing House along with the Claremont Museum of Art. The Packing House is home to a variety of artist's live/work spaces and several restaurants. Come for the art and stay for dinner at Three Forks, an upscale chop house located on the first floor. Finish the evening with drinks at The Hip Kitty, where they serve up fondue and live jazz. Also in the Packing House is Studio Claremont, Young Chef's Academy, Wine Merchants, Cry Babys, Replay Vintage, and the Thoreau Bookstore.

If you're here for the day, check out the Claremont Folk Music Center. Since 1958, this folk museum and store has entertained the people of Claremont. Located on Yale Ave, the Folk Music Center offers music lessons , instrument repair, and live music. Walk down the street to Some Crust Bakery, the oldest bakery in Claremont, for fresh homemade cookies.

Just 30 minutes away from downtown Los Angeles, Claremont makes the perfect weekend getaway with clean desert air and views of Mt. Baldy. Stay at Hotel Casa 425, a boutique hotel with an outdoor courtyard lounge. There is plenty of shopping in the village including Chloe & Hunter, a specialty children's shop complete with a pint-sized grocery store.
